Unfortunately EAE, my local anime con, has been canceled, but in it's place Blurriecon has sprung up. Members of the local anime club, former EAE staffers, and fans have all come together to organize their own small convention. There will be lots of fan-run panels and games, cosplay meet ups, an artist alley, video and card gaming, a masquerade, a dance, and much more. Sure, there will be no guests and few vendors, but is that really the reason most people go to cons?
I am just amazed at the effort people have put in to getting a full fledged, three day con running in less than a month! Besides running my art table, I will be on staff, judging the hall cosplay and masquerade, and organizing Just Dance in the gaming room.
Cosplay wise, my tentative plan is: fun dress on Friday, Jubileena on Saturday, and Dipper on Sunday. If I get Pete White done in time, I may try to fit him in somewhere too. Probably won't be until Tsubasa though.
