After not getting a table, I debated for a long time if going to Setsucon was worth it. It totally was! I'm so glad I went! Sad that so many of my friends couldn't make it this year, but I had a blast with the few that were there. It was a nice short laid back con. I actually went to events and even a viewing *gasp*! I never have time to do that!
I didn't think either of my costumes were that amazing or even that recognizable this year, but both got such a reaction! There's nothing like having total strangers run up, hug you, take a photo, and say they love you. (Actually, that would be entirely too creepy if it happened anywhere but at a con...) My friends bared the cold with me for a Jack Frost snow photoshoot. The weather was just perfect for it- full coating of snow of the ground, full moon, lightly falling snow. I just about froze my feet off, but other then that perfect! I'll be posting photos soon. I didn't get any new pictures of my Hiccup costume but I'm sure there are a TON of them floating around on the net. I'd worn that costume twice before but never had nearly the reaction that I did at this con.
In other news, I GOT A TABLE AT TEKKO!!!!! After missing it last year, I'm so excited to be back! They are back at conference center again and the artist alley is going to be huge! I will finally be debuting my comic there. I am also going to be selling mystery magnet envelopes. You never know which ones you will get!
I do want to get together and draw sometime soon. I need to get modivated to work on volume two!
i am glad you got into tekko. when is this con?
Tekko is the first weekend of April. You should come, even if just for Saturday. It's gotten so much bigger then when we went in college!
